Our faith
Statement of Beliefs
Our confession is rooted in Scripture, centred on Christ, and shaped by the hope of His return.
Scripture
We believeBoth Old and New Testaments constitute the divinely inspired Word of God, inerrant in the originals.
The Trinity
We believeOne God exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believeThe Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
The Holy Spirit
We believeThe Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement; to regenerate, sanctify, comfort and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ; and to empower them to use spiritual gifts for the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Humanity
We believeMan is totally depraved in that, of himself, he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
Salvation
We believeSalvation of man's eternal being is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
Water Baptism
We believeThe baptism by water of believers symbolises the believer's union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Lord's Supper
We believeThe observance of the Lord's Supper commemorates the sacrifice of our Saviour for all mankind.
Holy Living
We believeThe life of the believer is to be separate from worldliness through consistent conduct before God and man, and to be in the world as life-giving light.
Christ's Return
We believeThe personal, visible, bodily and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His second advent, are essential to the fulfilment of God's plan for this age.
